（马尼拉、东京8日讯）美国地质勘探局（USCS）称，周一，菲律宾南部沿海发生里特制7.8级地震，区域海啸预警中心已发布海啸警报。菲律宾警方表示，目前已知地震导致一人死亡、4人受伤。

美国地质勘探局表示，此次近海地震震源深度为35公里，震中位于棉兰老岛附近。
太平洋海啸预警中心（PTWC）发布通知称，未来3小时内，菲律宾、印尼、帕劳、台湾和巴布亚新几内亚沿海地区可能出现海啸。
菲律宾附近海域发生强烈地震后，日本当局周一在其太平洋沿岸大片地区发布了海啸预警。
日本气象厅表示，预计从上午11时30分（大马时间早上10时30分）开始，不同地区将出现高达一公尺的海啸。
